In your journey as a matchmaker, you need to realize that you are your own worst nightmare.  If you want to be successful as a matchmaker in your life, then you need to first take control of yourself.  So many times we make the mistake of blaming others for our woos and all of our circumstances, when we really need to own up to our own mistakes and move forward.  As a matchmaker, you will learn that only you are the author of your own happiness.  Of course, other people can make you happy, but you should not base your happiness on others.  You need to base your happiness on the inner peace that you need to find in order to survive this dating seeking journey and your subsequent life with your perfect match and you will then see that your work as a matchmaker has been successful.

But how do you pull yourself up out of a rut when depression is threatening to overtake you?  Many times we get discouraged in our work as a matchmaker for our lives; especially when we find that our matchmaker magic is not exactly producing results.  We cannot give up.  We need to keep focused on the goal of our success as a matchmaker and not allow ourselves to be brought down by such depressing thoughts and attitudes.  If you do not have the right attitude, then you will not be able to make great strides towards your goal as a matchmaker.  We cannot allow our failed attempts to find a love to cause us to give up hope.  Maybe it just has not been the right timing yet for us to find a love.  If you believe that you are going to fail, you will fail as a person and as a matchmaker for your life because you need to move forward and believe that you will succeed if you are going to be able to succeed.  Any matchmaker knows that he or she needs to have that faith and hope in his or her efforts that he or she will succeed.

If you are having bad luck and not succeeding in your efforts as a matchmaker, then take a moment to be quiet and reflect on your matchmaker techniques.  Maybe you are not utilizing the proper techniques as a matchmaker and that is why you are having difficulties in finding a love.  But whatever you do, do not give up.  If you fall down, dust yourself off and get back up again.  If you don’t get up, then you’ll always be staying down and you won’t be a successful matchmaker for your love life.

You need to surround yourself with the proper people who can give you encouragement and those people are your close friends and family and those who have needed to be a matchmaker for their own lives at one point in time or another.  You can make a difference in your life, but you need to believe that if you are utilizing the proper tools of a matchmaker, that you will find a love.  If you don’t believe in yourself how are you going to get your perfect match to believe in you?  Don’t be self-defeating; that is not the successful attitude of the matchmaker that you want and need to be if you want to find a love with your perfect match.
